Merry Yuletide and a Happy New Year!
It’s been one helluva year. When I joined the project in January, it was not difficult to imagine what the final game would feel like, even thought most of the pieces were missing. The script was still being written, none of the cinematics were done, and only the most basic walking, talking, and jumping animation were in place – those that had been used to showcase the concept to publishers and press. Despite this, the vision was palpably present in office discourse and envisioning the end-product was easy.
Carefully puzzling the elements together, we’ve built a seamless game in the past year. From visual assets and sound to dialogue and puzzles, Forgotton Anne is shaping up to be an unforgettable experience – for us as developers and for you as players.
The reception Forgotton Anne has received from trade show attendees at Gamescom, EGX and EGX Rezzed, PAX West, and the Rooster Teeth Expo has given us a massive boost of energy. From our nomination for Best Visual Art at the AzPlay festival, to Eurogamer naming us one of the top 10 games of the EGX show floor, and Ars Technica’s title as one of the top 10 indies of PAX West, as well as comments and messages we’ve received from you through social media; the appreciation shown for Forgotton Anne has been astounding. Thank you.
As we put the final touches on our debut title, we feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work on our dream project and are confident that it will bring joy to you too when it drops. Through this journey, we at ThroughLine Games have not only made lasting friendships with one another, but formed bonds with you as well. We hope you will continue to reach out to us through social media in the new year and we look forward to hearing what you think of Forgotton Anne.
Have a Very Merry Yuletide and a Happy New Year!
